Rhodiola Crenulata Extract, also named Rhodiola rosea extract, is derived from the dried roots and rhizomes of Rhodiola rosea. It contains various functional components such as salidroside, tyrosol, and ketone. Salidroside is the main active ingredient of rhodiola rosea extract. It shows strong antioxidant activity, so it has anti-aging effect. Also rhodiola rosea extract has certain inhibitory effect on tyrosinase, indicating its skin whitening effect. Rhodiola crenulata is a perennial herb with a height of 10-20 cm. It grows in an alpine unpolluted zone with an altitude of 1800-2500 meters. It has strong vitality and special adaptability. It is mainly distributed in Tibet, northwestern Yunnan, western Sichuan, etc. According to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, Rhodiola rosea is used as a Chinese herbal medicine; and its medicinal part is its dry roots and rhizomes.
